Why Brisbane is a good idea

May 25, 2016 - 3 minutes read

Brisbane is still the city of value and opportunity. Long the poor relation to its southern sisters, Brisbane is fast growing up and it means to dance. Right across the the vast expanse that encompasses its boundaries, new development is taking place. Not constrained like Sydney to the beach lifestyle Brisbane is embracing urban renewal that offers inner city lifestyle for the work week and easy access to the northern or southern coastlines for the sun filled weekends.

More and more people are opting to join this merry band of high income earning urbanites who have found a real funky lifestyle in former big country town.
Three state sponsored projects stand out and are enhancing the inner city Manhattan dream.

Queens Wharf

With a vision to become a unique and vibrant new world city development, Queen’s Wharf is set be a world-class integrated resort development. Including a mix of six star hotels, retail, dining, entertainment, theatre and convention uses, and a major casino. View Video here

Howard Smith Wharves

Howard Smith Wharves is set to be redeveloped as a vibrant waterside destination under the northern end of Brisbane’s Storey Bridge. The Wharves precinct is expected to incorporate commercial elements, such as a boutique five-star hotel, exhibition space, restaurants, retail and community facilities.

TransApex Masterplan

The completed TransApex Masterplan includes a system of roads, primarily tunnels, designed to form an inner city ring road system for Brisbane and increase the number of river crossings.

By all accounts its terribly good value when you can live this for as little as $400,000, park your car in a dedicated space, catch a lift to your apartment, take a swim in the pool and walk to work.

I can’t imagine the cost of doing that in inner city Sydney.
